Soulmask received Patch 21 on October 22, 2026. This update adds a Day of the Dead theme across the world, introduces new furniture and skins from the player community, and makes several quality-of-life improvements to building and training. Because this patch includes a client update, all players must update their game before they can connect to any server.
All players must update their Soulmask game client before joining a server. Anyone who has not updated will not be able to connect.
New Content
- Day of the Dead skills added to elite enemies and bosses in beginner-area camps.
- Marigolds decorations and altars added to the Misty Forest and Golden Sands beginner camps.
- New Carnival of Bones skins and outfits.
- New Marigolds player community (UGC) furniture and decorations.
- New controller support added.
Gameplay and Building Improvements
- You can now designate Talents and Specializations for tribespeople to learn in the Training Grounds.
- A search function has been added to Building Mode.
- Categorization rules in Building Mode have been improved.
- The beginner tutorial has been optimized.
- Lighting effects for wall-mounted torches and oil lamps have been improved.
- The Red Crystal embedding system has been optimized.
- Mine-related components are now crafted at the Workshop, and Wood and Stone proficiency gains have been increased.
- Newly created characters can now see map markers for wild alpacas in the Rainforest.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed paintings behaving abnormally in certain circumstances.
- Fixed Water Vapor Collectors not collecting water in certain areas.
What This Means for Your Server
Because this patch includes a client-side update, players must be on the same version as your server to join. Anyone who has not updated their game client will not be able to connect. If you use mods, check that they are compatible with this patch before restarting.
Updating your RiverHosting server
- Make a backup of your server before you update.
- Restart your server. With Auto-update on start turned on (the default), it downloads Patch 21 as it starts.
