Enshrouded received its first post-1.0 patch on 2 November 2026. Version 1283531 (patch 1.0.1.0) covers a wide range of fixes and improvements across combat, building, UI, audio, and stability. Here are the highlights worth knowing about.

Combat and enemies
- Bosses now stay engaged in combat longer and no longer recover health while being attacked from range. This fixes frustrating situations with fights like the Fell Monstrosity.
- The Wispwyvern and its undead version can now be correctly targeted by totem spells and summons.
- The Dragon Youngling no longer gets stuck in a broken state after being defeated. Loot should now drop correctly.
- Boss music no longer cuts out during a fight.
- The shielded Ancient Construct now has phases where its shield goes on cooldown, giving players an opening.
- Poison damage from the Fell Vinebloom's area attack has been reduced.
- Scavenger proximity mine explosion radius has been reduced.
- Ancient S.P.D.R. Constructs are harder to trap in a position where they stop moving or attacking.
- Fell enemies have fewer cases of dropping no loot. A further fix for this is planned in the next update.
- Elite flying critters now award more XP when defeated.
Gameplay and mechanics
- Sprint can now be set to toggle in keyboard and mouse settings.
- Wand attack frequency can no longer be boosted unnaturally by animation-cancelling shots via blocking.
- The Aerial Wand Attack now costs 40 mana instead of stamina.
- Mana costs for the Wand Evasion Attack have been reduced, and stamina costs for Whirlwind Crescendo have been lowered.
- Lupa's scalper daggers now correctly enable the riposte kick ability.
- The Chain Heal spell no longer heals enemy Hollow skeletons.
- Skills and attacks could stop working correctly after several hours of play. This has been fixed.
- Two more craftable versions of lore weapons have been added.
- Minor recipe changes: crab cakes now accept any milk type, the goo recipe unlocks by picking up Shroud mushroom from Revelwoods, and big farm animal beds can be crafted with any wood type.
- Rocks no longer chase the player when running past them with auto-loot enabled.
Building, UI, and audio
- Props that are part of a Sparkworks setup can no longer be destroyed by attacks, but can still be dismantled.
- When taking damage in flying build mode, the mode is now cancelled immediately.
- It is now possible to destroy props with the pickaxe while in flying build mode.
- An issue that prevented removing overgrowth from buildings in a player base has been fixed.
- Inanimate destructible objects now show a grey health bar to make clear they are not a threat.
- The hairstyle unlock bug from the previous update has been fixed. Players who already created a character with an erroneously unlocked hairstyle can keep it.
- The muted purple hair color that was previously missing from the item set has been added.
- Several UI layout fixes have been made, including the adventure sharing menu, Sparkworks trigger sliders, and inventory yellow "is new" markers.
- Voice-over volume has been tweaked and is now easier to understand over other in-game sounds.
- Sound mixing for surround setups has been improved. More fixes are planned for the next patch.
- The maximum character count for world names is now the same as it was during early access.
Stability and PC-specific fixes
- Multiplayer stability has been improved when hosting worlds with very large player bases.
- Flickering shadows in large player bases have been fixed.
- Several crashes have been fixed, including a crash related to tombstone position data and a potential crash when closing the game.
- Save data migration now handles more edge cases correctly, including saves with too many player bases. If a migration failed before this patch, try again now.
- New graphical settings have been added for AMD graphics cards.
- A keybinding issue where binding evade to the plus key performed a jump instead has been fixed.
What this means for your server
All players joining your server will need to be on the same updated version. If anyone is running an older client they will not be able to connect until they update through Steam. The patch also improves multiplayer stability for worlds with large player bases, so dedicated server owners with active communities should notice fewer issues.
If a save data migration failed before this patch, the developers have fixed several causes of migration errors. Try the migration again after updating.
