Core Keeper received update 1.3.0.7 on 2 November 2026. This is a security patch that addresses a vulnerability in a third-party library used to compress save files.
Security fix
- A vulnerability was found in the Brotli library, which Core Keeper uses to compress save files.
- No evidence suggests the vulnerability has been used to target Core Keeper players, but the developers have acted as a precaution.
Mod changes
- The save file sharing feature for mods has been temporarily disabled.
- The developers plan to re-enable it once the Unity engine receives a patch that fixes the underlying vulnerability.
If your players or server uses mods that rely on save file sharing, that feature will not work until the developers re-enable it in a future update.
What this means for your server
All players must be on version 1.3.0.7 to connect. Mods that use the save file sharing feature will not function until the feature is restored in a later update. No world wipes or save file changes are required.
